San Joaquin Yacht Club Opening Day Parade

It was a bright, sunny day with a light breeze for San Joaquin Yacht Club's annual Opening Day on the Delta parade. The parade began at noon from the clubhouse on Dutch Slough. It began with a "bang" when Commodore Keith Handy fired off the club's cannon. That certainly woke everyone up! The parade went under the Bethel Island Bridge to begin the circle around Bethel Island, which members say takes about two hours.
