Asian Pacific Heritage Month in Locke

The historical town of Locke celebrates Asian Pacific Heritage Month in May. On a sunny Saturday, they invited the public to their charming town to join in the celebration. The events included Lion Dance, Tai Chi demonstrations and line dance, demonstrations by the USA International Wushu Kung Fu Academy, Japanese Dance, and more. The MC was Eileen Leung, and the DJ was Henry Lim. There were also Chinese brush painting and calligraphy demonstrations, and a silent art auction.

The event was free as was the abundant and well organized parking. The event was sponsored by Lien Fan Chu, Clarence Chu, Connie King, Al's Place Restaurant, Locke Garden Chinese Restaurant, the Chinese Cultural Shop, and the Locke Art Center.
